okay do you need a permit on every deck that you build no no no thats it yes next question whats the rules it depends if youre talking about regina regina or saskatoon which are our markets um the the big misconception is im just replacing my existing deck so that i dont need a permit right same size yeah thats a 100 false you do need a permit if youre replacing your deck the only time you dont need a permit is if your deck that you have was already permitted permitted at some point and youre just replacing the boards on it surface soon yeah sorry the surface like the deck boards if you start tinkering with the framing new permit the structure any size too yeah the short answer to that is yes because if its unless its under 32 square feet or under 12 inches off the ground then you dont need a permit for those things so if you have a 200 square foot deck thats sitting on the ground its only eight inches off the ground you dont need a permit flat thats just considered a
