you the OT practice kids is a private occupational therapy practice we have nationwide coverage of highly experienced and specialist pediatric occupational therapists when assessing a child whos presenting with handwriting difficulties the OT would assess all the underlying skills needed for effective handwriting a treatment plan would then be drawn up to address those underlying skills so it may be that the child needs to develop more core strengths or shoulder strengths in order to be able to sit up or the strengthening their shoulders to effectively use their hands or it may be that they dont really have the finger awareness and fine finger movements which is needed for effective handwriting before we found the OT practice there was a mixture of emotions and I guess through fear of failure the main thing that was coming out and main thing we felt was frustration so initially with Lily we noticed that her mind was an issue we didnt know whether it was behavioral whether it was so
