In this tutorial, we will be looking at how to insert the tick symbol in Word, which can be quite difficult to find among mainstream symbols like fractions and accented letters. We will be using the character code to locate the tick symbol in the symbol dialog box. To do this, go to the insert tab, click on the symbol button, go to more symbols, and select the font drop-down list to choose wingdings. This font has the gallery of symbols we need.
