Hi, this is Gary with MacMost.com. Today let me show you how to create links inside a Pages document including the new ability to do that in Page Layout mode. So you can create links from one piece of text to another piece of text inside of a word processing document in Pages. But there is a new feature that will allow you to do the same thing if youre in Page Layout mode. Let me show you how to setup each kind of link. Heres a typical word processing document. Theres lots of text here and Ive got it divided into chapters. I have some page breaks and a Table of Contents that I have inserted that will create page links all on its own to each chapter. But what if I wanted to add some other links. Like, for instance, after the Table of Contents maybe I want to include a list of links to poems in the text here in this book. Navigate to the page with the image you want to add a hyperlink to. Click the Page tab, and then click Edit. Click and select the photo or picture you want to an link to. On the ribbon, click Insert, and then click Link.
Add a link Tap an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, then tap Link. Tap Link To and choose a link type (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, Page, or Bookmark). Specify details for the destination:
Save a link from a webpage In the Safari app on your Mac, drag the link to a document or the desktop, or Control-click the link and choose Add Link to Bookmarks or Add Link to Reading List.
Find the link that you want to copy and highlight it with the cursor. You can do this by clicking twice (or, sometimes, three times). Then, right click and click the option for Copy Link. Or, you can press Control (or Command on a Mac) + C. Then, go to where you want to paste the link and right click again.
Adding a link in Pages on Mac Keep in mind that you can only link to other pages in your document if youre using a Page Layout document. And Page Layout documents cannot link to bookmarks as Word-Processing documents can. (To convert, click Documents from the top right and use the Documents Body check box.
Click the File Export To option. Within the contextual menu, choose HTML by clicking it. Save the output HTML file to a cloud location like Dropbox and generate a public share link.
Add links to documents on Mac Type a URL, and it becomes a link automatically. Select the text to change to a link, choose Edit Add Link or Format Add Link, then type or paste the URL.
One of the most common ways to create a URL for an image on your Mac and iPhone is via the Photos app and iCloud. Alternatively, you can use any other file sharing solution. For example, I prefer Dropshare. All I have to do is to drag and drop the image onto the app icon and copy my link.
