hello and welcome to the point from navitend in this screencast weamp;#39;ll look at how to create your own zip files these are also called archives or compressed folders letamp;#39;s get started first you need to browse to the directory that contains the files you wish to compress into a zip file so Iamp;#39;m going to open up a directory that I created in my documents folder named miscellaneous you can see these four files here I want to compress these into one zip file the first step is to select the files you want to compress in my case I want to select all of them so Iamp;#39;ll just press contr a on my keyboard and then the second step is to rightclick one of the selected files and choose send to and then choose compressed zipped folder itamp;#39;ll start compressing your files and when itamp;#39;s finish itamp;#39;ll prompt youamp;#39;ll be able to uh type in the name of the compressed directory so compressed files and then just hit enter this new directory here is a zip
