Conversely, when the text-box moves, so does the anchor. To prevent this, right-click on the text-box and select Format AutoShape/Picture, go to the Layout tab, click Advanced, and in the Position tab check Lock anchor. Click OK twice to terminate.
Create a Form Place the text cursor where you want to insert the form field. Click the Developer tab on the ribbon. Click the Design Mode button in the controls group. Click a Content Control buttons to insert the selected type of control. When youre done, click the Design Mode button again to exit Design Mode.

On the form template, place the cursor where you want to insert the control. If the Controls task pane is not visible, click More Controls on the Insert menu, or press ALT+I, C. Under Insert controls, click Text Box.
Add a text box Place cursor where you want the text box to appear. Go to Insert and in Illustrations select Drawing. Select Text Box and use your cursor to create the text box. Insert text in box and apply any styling needed.
Enter Text: Click on the location in the snip where you want to add text. A text box will appear, and you can start typing your desired text. You can also adjust the text size, font, and color using the formatting options in the toolbar.
Insert a Text box Press and release ALT, and then press N and then press x. Press CTRL+ENTER to insert the text box. Type the text that you want.
