Basic concepts DITA has been designed to satisfy requirements for information typing, semantic markup, modularity, reuse, interchange, and production of different deliverable forms from a single source.
DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) is a set of XML markup languages for authoring and publishing technical documentation. Designed to be flexible, modular, and re-usable, along the structured content model, it allows the creation and management of complex information sets, referred to as topics.
In a modern photographic lens, there is usually more than one individual glass optical lens. Each glass lens is referred to as an Element or Lens element of the photographic lens. In some photographic lenses there will be many individual glass elements arranged in groups.
The trademark () element in DITA is used to markup and identify a term or phrase that is trademarked. Trademarks include registered trademarks, service marks, slogans and logos.
Content created using DITA is in XML format, making it machine-readable. DITA content is componentized, arranged in topics and maps, and most commonly stored in a component content management system (CCMS).
The XML elements are the basic building block of the XML document. It is used as a container to store text elements, attributes, media objects etc. Every XML documents contain at least one element whose scopes are delimited by start and end tags or in case of empty elements it is delimited by an empty tag.
Model elements are the basic building blocks of models. There are three types: Tools: Geoprocessing tools are the basic building blocks of workflows in a model. Tools perform various operations on geographic or tabular data. When tools are added to a model, they become model elements.
The element provides a top-level container for multiple topics when you create documents using the ditabase document type. The element lets you create any sequence of concept, task, and reference topics, and the ditabase document type lets you further nest these topic types inside each other.
