Here are four methods you can use to write a block-style letter in Word: Select a template. One of the easiest ways to create a block-style letter in Word is to use one of Words pre-made templates. Apply custom spacing by hand. Create your own style. Save your formatting for later use.
Click Insert Style Separator or use the hotkey combination Alt-Ctrl-Return and you will see that the text has been merged while the styles have been maintained.
The styles covered in this article are located in the Styles gallery, a visual menu located on the Home tab. To apply a style, simply select the text you want to format, and then click the style you want in the Styles gallery. To learn more, see Apply a style to text in Word.
