in this video weamp;#39;re going to use the built-in on edit function in google apps script to automatically add date and time stamps to specific columns on our spreadsheet anytime an edit is made in corresponding columns on that same sheet so what you see here is a preview of what weamp;#39;re going to create today in column a i have a list of different project numbers in column b we have date and time stamps that update anytime a new project is input into column a so if i add a new project here column b the corresponding row will add a new date and time stamp now this only populates if a new project is added if i edit this change it to a different project nothing happens there so this one is conditional on only a new project being added in column c we have a list of funding statuses so we have a drop down menu here for the project depending on where it is in the funding approval process so if i were to change this drop down here from waiting approval to approved not receive
