hello everybody welcome back to another mac tutorial in this one i want to show you how to increase the size of your icons or your photo icons or image icons inside of finder so if you were to download something like iamp;#39;ve done here and then open it up youamp;#39;ll notice that these icons are very very small and itamp;#39;s quite frustrating you got to resist the urge to click on one of them and then either go to open or open with or any of these things they donamp;#39;t do anything you can also right click here and go view but you only get a few options and youamp;#39;re already set as icons so what you need to do is right click go to show view options and then youamp;#39;re going to see something called icon size take the default for me is 64 by 64 and iamp;#39;m going to move it up to 128 by 128 which is a doubling in size and then iamp;#39;m also going to make sure that i click on use as defaults because that way when any time i open up another finder window and i st

Choose File Page Setup. Click the Paper Size pop-up menu, then choose Manage Custom Sizes. Double-click the new untitled name in the list, then type a name for your custom size.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Select a resolution. If you see a thumbnail view of the available resolutions, move the pointer over the thumbnails to see the resolution sizes, then click the one you want.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF that you want to compress. Choose File Export. Click the Quartz Filter pop-up menu, then choose Reduce File Size.
Choose File Reduce File Size (from the File menu at the top of the screen). Select the adjustments you want to make: Scale down large images: Images are scaled to the resolution used in the document while preserving visual quality.
You can also use the keyboard shortcuts to zoom in or out: Make everything larger: Windows and Linux: Press Ctrl and +. Mac: Press ⌘ and +. Make everything smaller: Windows and Linux: Press Ctrl and -. Mac: Press ⌘ and -. Use full-screen mode: Windows and Linux: Press F11. Mac: Press ⌘ + Ctrl + f.
There are a few simple things you can do to help keep file sizes down: Use low resolution versions of your images where possible. Compress images within Word or PowerPoint documents. Use Save As Save as PDF (as a last resort)
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file you want to change. Choose Tools Adjust Size, then select Resample image. Enter a smaller value in the Resolution field. The new size is shown at the bottom.
On your Mac, in a Finder window or on the desktop, do any of the following: Compress a file or folder: Control-click it, then choose Compress from the shortcut menu. If you compress a single item, the compressed file has the name of the original item with the .zip extension.
