Send the host a polite text about if you can attend. If the host texted you directly or has their number on the invite, text them a polite RSVP whether youre able to go to the event or not. If the invite says you can bring guests, let the host know how many people are coming with you.
RSVP comes from the French phrase rpondez sil vous plat. That, roughly translated is Please reply. Another phrase you could use is, Kindly let us know whether you will be able to attend. Or perhaps, The favor of a reply is requested by MM/DD.
Make It Personal This is etiquette 101and the most often missed opportunity to shine. Think of the response card as a note, not a form, and write a few sentences in your reply. Thank your host, send well-wishes to the couple, be encouraging, be yourselfthis isnt a formality requiring stodginess.
Make sure to include: You and your dates full name and titles. Whether or not you will be attending. Dinner preference (if given the option) A Thank You for the Invitation. A Sign Off.
4) Response options You should include phrases such as accepts with pleasure or declines with regret, or opt for more informal response options. You can also add a number attending line so that people can specify whether or not they are bringing their children.

What do you need to include on your RSVP card? RSVP Deadline. This is the date that you need every RSVP card to be returned to you by, and is often dictated by the deadline that the caterer needs a final headcount by. Blank Line for Guests Names. Accept and Decline Check Boxes.
Fill out only the names of those who are attending. Some cards may have an M before the line, which allows you to write in the title of Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss, then your name. Write the number of guests. In the accept or decline box, write the number of guests attending.
