- Sure, put that quote in writing and send it to me. (gentle music) Now if youamp;#39;re selling B2B, business to business, or B2C, you hear this a lot, right? Sometimes the prospect says to you, yeah, all right, just put that in a quote, you know, send it to me, email me, or something like that, right? That happens a lot. Now, very often, it is a lie. Prospects lie. So as a sales professional, what we wanna do is we wanna get rid of the smoke and mirrors, we wanna cut to the chase, exactly how qualified is this prospect? Now sometimes when weamp;#39;re closing, weamp;#39;re so afraid to be direct. Why are we afraid to be direct? Comment below. Why are we so afraid to ask direct questions? Because youamp;#39;re too attached to the sale. You want the sale so bad, you want the commission. No, you cannot do that. The harder you qualify, the easier it is for you to close, always remember. So ask qualifying questions. I wanna make sure if someone says that to me, hey, you know what, sen

Ellipses in quotation If your quotation ends your sentence, but is not the end of the sentence in the original source, the quotation should end with four dots separated by spaces (the fourth dot acts as the period after a three dot ellipsis).
Quotation marks, double () or single (), are generally used for direct quotes, certain titles, and words used in a special manner. Quotation marks are ALWAYS used in pairs, one at the beginning of the quoted text and one at the end. The same rule applies to titles and words used in a special sense or for emphasis.
Place commas, periods, exclamation marks, and question marks inside quotation marks; all other punctuation marks are placed outside quotation marks. Use double quotation marks when: Providing direct quotations of less than forty words (for quotes with more than forty words, use block quotations).
Use four periodsthat is, a period plus an ellipsis (. ) to show a sentence break within omitted material, such as when a quotation includes the end of one sentence and the beginning of another sentence.
If you remove words from the middle of quotation, use three spaced ellipsis points (. . .) to indicate the change from the original quotation (American Psychological Association [APA], 2020, p. 275).
Use square brackets to indicate changes to a quotation, such as adding words, explanations, or emphasis. To emphasize a word or words in a quotation, use italics. Immediately after the italicized words, insert emphasis added within square brackets as follows: [emphasis added] (APA, 2020, p. 275).
Oct 14, 2021 14939. Use ellipses whenever you omit words from the original source quote. When formatting the ellipses, use three spaced out ellipses points (. . .) or use the ellipses character that appears in word processing programs when you type three periods in a row.
For a direct quotation, always include a full citation (parenthetical or narrative) in the same sentence as the quotation, including the page number (or other location information, e.g., paragraph number). Place a parenthetical citation either immediately after the quotation or at the end of the sentence.
