To center an image in GitHub readme.md file, wrap the image inside the div tag and use the align=center inline style element.
How do I add an image in Markdown? Use this syntax: ![ Alt Text](URL). Alt Text is the alternative description of the image, and URL is the path or link to the image.
Under your repository name, click Settings. If you cannot see the Settings tab, select the dropdown menu, then click Settings. Under Social preview, click Edit. To add a new image, click Upload an image.
Inserting images and links to files Start by dragging a file from VS Codes Explorer over your Markdown code and then hold down Shift to start dropping it into the file. The preview cursor shows where it will be inserted when you drop it.
markdown-insert-screenshot Write the line to display the image youd like to insert, i.e. ![ Highlight the relative path with your cursor, i.e. ../figures/myscreenshot. Run markdown-insert-screenshot:screenshot-to-relative-destination from the Command Palette or invoke the keymap cmd-@ .
