Do one of the following: In a word processing document: Place the insertion point where you want a new page to appear, click. in the toolbar, then choose Insert Page Break. In a page layout document: Click anywhere in the page you want the new page to follow, then click.
To start page number with page 1, do the following: With the header open, select page 3 on page 3. Click Page Number in the Header Footer group. Select Format Page Numbers. In the Page Numbering section of the resulting dialog, select the Start At option and enter 1, as shown in Figure G. Click OK.
Insert page numbers On the Insert tab, select. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page. You can add a page count to a header, footer, or any other place on a page. The page count updates as you add or remove pages and is visible in the printed document. Click where you want the page count to appear. in the toolbar, then choose Page Count.
From the Design Tab on the Header and Footer Tools ribbon (the ribbon that is active when you are in Header/Footer view), select Page Number from the Header and Footer Group. Insert your page numbers and adjust your page margin from this menu.
To add page numbers, click Insert Page Number and choose a numbering style. If you dont see the pop-up menu, click Insert in the toolbar, then choose Page Number.
Move the pointer over the top or bottom of the page until you see the three header or footer fields, then click the field you want to use (left, center, or right). in the toolbar, click the Document tab, then select the Header and Footer checkboxes). Click Insert Page Number, then choose a numbering style.
