When I create Excel tools, I always add an instruction sheet. But it can be a pain to create instructions, and itamp;#39;s double-pain if you write them in Excel. This is what happens to me all the time. I create a nice instruction sheet, take away the grid lines, put in light borders and start typing. All good here. So, letamp;#39;s add in some more useful content. And then we run into this. And then I end up doing this. But then, I discovered Justify. Notes are just for adding annotations or reminders in cells. If you dont need to have a discussion about the data, then use a note. Insert simple notes for annotation purposes Right-click the cell and then click Insert Comment (or press Shift+F2). If youre using Excel for Office 365, right-click the cell and choose New Note. Type your annotation text.
To display an individual note, right-click the cell and click Show/Hide Note. To display all notes, go to the Review tab Notes Show All Notes.
Create a new note Open Sticky Notes. Sticky Notes will open where you left them. From the list of notes or from an existing note, click or tap the plus icon ( + ) in the upper left. Or from the keyboard, press Ctrl+N to start a new note. Add content to your note any way you want.
Check Comment Settings: Go to the File tab, select Options, choose Advanced, and ensure that the Show comments option is selected.
If you want the same comment in multiple cells of your worksheet, you can copy and paste it in other cells without changing their content. Select the commented cell.
