So when you want to wrap text around an image you donamp;#39;t always want it to wrap around the complete rectangle image. For instance, let me take this picture of a car and bring it into Pages here. Iamp;#39;m going to shrink it a bit and you could see itamp;#39;s going to use the rectangular shape of the image itself to wrap the text around it. Thereamp;#39;s a lot of white space here. Now you can use a technique here to create an Alpha Channel with all this white space. If I go to Format, Image, and then Instant Alpha I can click here and then use that white space as a transparent part of the image and then I get the ability

Add or replace an image Click. in the bottom-right corner of a media placeholder, then select an image from a photo library. Click. in the toolbar, choose Photos or Videos, navigate to the image you want to use, then drag it to the page or to a media placeholder.
Select a shape or text box. Click Style at the top of the Format sidebar on the right, then select the Fill checkbox. Click the pop-up menu below the Fill checkbox, then choose Image Fill, or Advanced Image Fill if you want to add a color tint to the image.
Add a watermark (section layout object) Click one of the object buttons in the toolbar to add a text box, shape, or image to any page in the section, then drag it to where you want it to appear on each page. If you add a text box, type the text you want to appear.
Select the table or cells you want to change. In the Format sidebar on the right, click the Cell tab. Select the Fill checkbox, then click the color well to select a color.
Click to select the shape or text box with the fill you want to save, then in the Format sidebar, click the Style tab. Click the colour well next to Fill, then drag the fill in the Current Fill well to another well to replace its fill.
You can create your own freehand shapes. Click anywhere on the page to create the first point of the custom shape. Move the pointer, then click to create another point; continue adding as many points as you want. To create a curved segment, click, drag, then click again to finish the segment.
In the Format sidebar, click the disclosure arrow next to Background. Click the pop-up menu below Background, then choose one of the following fill types: A color or gradient designed to go with the template: Click the Background pop-up menu and choose Color Fill.
Fill with a color or gradient Click a shape or text box to select it, or select multiple objects. In the Format sidebar, click the Style tab. Choose one of the following: A preset color or gradient: Click the color well next to Fill, then choose a color or gradient.
