hey folks itamp;#39;s mike murphy todayamp;#39;s quick tip is for mac users only this is a little doc tip so if you were down on the dock here these are all your applications if you ever see the question mark that just means that the application is missing itamp;#39;s basically an alias gone bad so you can get rid of it by right-clicking and choosing option remove from dock or the easy way the cool way the pro way to simply drag it straight up until you get the poof it will disappear so when you open up a new application the replacement for the one that you just deleted itamp;#39;s always going to show up on the right side of the dock first the only thing to do is take it and drag it to wherever you want to just nestle it down there by pulling down and put it right in this place you can right-click and choose options to make sure that this is checked keeping dock so that way Iamp;#39;ll always stay there when you open and close it so you can always just drag things down to the doc

If an apps icon is in the Dock and you delete the app from your Mac, the icon remains in the Dock but is covered by a question mark.
The reason youre seeing a question mark where the app once lived is likely because the app has been uninstalled or corrupted in some way. If you uninstall apps in Apples recommended way (opening the Applications folder and dragging the application in question to the Bin) this shouldnt happen.
Todays Phrase of the Day is put (someone) in the dock and it is a phrase meaning accuse someone of committing a crime and subject him/her to intense scrutiny; on trial in court, particularly in a criminal case (the dock is the enclosed place in a criminal court where a defendant stands or sits during a trial).
With Safari, Firefox, or Chrome, you can simply click in the address bar of the browser where the link resides, select it, and drag it directly to the right side of your Dock.
What Does the Question Mark in a Box Mean? The question mark in a box symbol is essentially a placeholder for a character or emoji that your device doesnt recognize or cant display. Its like your phone or computer saying, I see something is supposed to be here, but I dont know what it is!
Add, remove, or rearrange Dock items Add an item to the Dock: Drag apps to the left side of (or above) the line that separates the recently used apps. Drag files and folders to the right side of (or below) the other line that separates recently used apps. An alias for the item is placed in the Dock.
Question Mark: Definition So many questions, so little time. The question mark, also known as an interrogation point, essentially lets the reader know that the sentence you are writing is a question. It can be used to express uncertainty or doubt or any other unknown.
A folder with a flashing question mark means that your computers startup disk is no longer available or doesnt contain a working Mac operating system.
