Margins are the white space that surrounds the text on a document page and are crucial for document formatting. While standard margins are typically 1 inch each, setting them to 0.5 inches allows for more text to fit on the page, thus creating narrow margins.
Select Layout Margins. Select the margin measurements you want. Note: If your document contains multiple sections, the new margins apply only to the selected sections.
In the Settings section, choose Box under the Style dropdown menu. In the Width section, enter 0.5 in the input box. Adjust the Color, Art, and Apply to options as per your preference. Click OK to apply the 0.5-inch border to your document.
