How to Draw a Legend Outside of a Plot in R? mar: determines the vector which contains margin. xpd: It is a boolean. If FALSE, all plotting is clipped to the plot region, if TRUE, all plotting is clipped to the figure region.
How to put a legend outside the plot with Pandas? Make a dictionary d with keys Column1 and Column2. Make a data frame using DataFrame (d). Plot the data frame with a list of styles. Using legend(), place a legend on the figure. To display the figure, use the show() method.
In order to place the legend outside of the plot, lets say at the center of the right side, we need to do two things. First, we need to shrink the width of the plot so that the legend fits the figure. Then, we can use the bboxtoanchor argument that offers a degree of control for manual legend placement.
Python has a function called legend() which is used to place a legend on the axis. The legend function has an attribute called loc which is used to denote the location of the legend. The default value of attribute loc is upper left. Other string, such as upper right, lower left, lower right can also be used.
Method 1: Using the bboxtoanchor parameter Create a plot using Matplotlib. Add a legend to the plot using the legend function. Specify the bboxtoanchor parameter with the coordinates where you want the legend to be positioned. Call the plot function to plot your data. Call the show function to display the plot.
To create a legend in Matplotlib, you can use the legend() function after plotting your data. This function adds a legend to your plot, which helps to identify different data series.
We have also set `loc=upper left` to specify that we want to anchor the legend at its upper-left corner. The `loc` parameter is another option for moving the legend in Matplotlib. It allows you to specify a string that represents the location of the legend within the plot area.
