Pigment-Based Inks: Pigment-based inks are known for their longevity and resistance to fading. They provide excellent image permanence, making them suitable for archival purposes. While pigment-based inks may not produce colors as vibrant as dye-based inks, they offer better durability and longevity.
Ink effect, also known as ink wash or sumi-e effect, is a technique used in image editing to create a hand-drawn or painted look on digital images. The effect is achieved by simulating the texture and variations of ink on paper, and can be used to create a sense of movement or brushstrokes in an image.
Dye-based inks produce their richest colours on glossy and lustre papers while pigment inks tend to work best on matte and fine art papers. The smooth, shiny surface of glossy photo paper makes details appear sharp and colours vivid.
An image will be printed in grayscale (monochrome) if you reduce the color saturation in it to zero. Printing photos in grayscale, especially when you need photo prints for reviewing purposes, is one of the best ways to save printer ink. Black ink cartridges are typically less expensive than color ink cartridges.
Gently slide the new cartridge into the ink slot. Insert your cartridge into the slot with the ink nozzles facing away from you. The color cartridge(s) goes on the left side. The black cartridge on the right side. Make sure you hear a click to ensure the cartridge is locked into place.
There are two types of ink dye-based and pigment, both are suitable for professional digital print. Dye inks are more commonly used as they are cheaper and give you vibrant colors. The main drawback is that the dyes fade over time. Pigments are more expensive and harder to find.
A fountain pen or a fine point marker. They require the least pressure so are least likely to make impressions that show through. If you want to use a Sharpie, test it first to make sure it doesnt bleed through the paper.
