Your document number can be found in various places depending on what type of ID it is and when it was issued. If your license or ID was issued AFTER January 28, 2014, your document number can be found on the back; if it was issued BEFORE that date, youll find it in the lower right corner on the front of the card.

Definition. The Document Identifier Code (DIC) is the leading code in MILSTRIP and MILSBILL messages. It defines the type of message, the content, and the subsequent action required, in both your system and the US system.
Document ID is the identification number of the document or set of documents to be signed, which allows you to identify a given document and verify its authenticity.
Click Site Actions and then click Site Settings. Under Site Collection Administration, click Document ID settings. On the Document ID settings page, in the Assign Document IDs section, make sure there is a checkmark in the Assign Document IDs, check box.
Here is how to activate the document ID in SharePoint Online: Navigate to the site collection Root Click on the Settings icon Site Information View all site settings. On the Site Settings page, under the Site Collection Administration section, click on Site Collection Features.
Please the following steps: Sign in the Document library as an admin. Open the word document in app. Go to the Insert tab, click on Footer menu, and then select Blank option. Select the [Type here], click on Quick Parts menu, and then select Document Property and select Document ID Value.
