okay they get started I just added the screenshot to my timeline and Iamp;#39;d like to highlight this first line of text to do that letamp;#39;s click and hold on the pen tool to see the other options and then select the rectangle tool now a drag a rectangle over the text youamp;#39;d like to highlight next letamp;#39;s go over to the effect controls and open up your shape settings in here you can click the fill color to change it to the color of your choice Iamp;#39;ll set mind a yellow since thatamp;#39;s the most common highlighting color then scroll down to video and under opacity youamp;#39;ll see the blend mode option change the blend mode to multiply okay now we have our text highlighted but letamp;#39;s say you want to animate the highlight to give your video more pizzazz to do that letamp;#39;s go over to effects and type crop into the search box drag the crop effect onto your graphic layer back up and effect controls make sure the playhead is positioned at the start
