foreign we have just a typical document in front of us and Iamp;#39;m going to go into the header section and remember how do I do that I go up to the top of my document you can see the section over here and when I double click on it it activates and opens that header section for me now I want to insert information into my header but using Fields so this is my hidden footer section and when I look to the left of my ribbon I see thereamp;#39;s a group that says insert in other words we can use this grouping to insert various types of information into our head or footer so you can see I can insert the date and time I can insert various pieces of document info and you can see there is what Iamp;#39;m looking for we can insert a field and I can also use Quick parts to insert a field of information as well so Iamp;#39;m gonna on the left Iamp;#39;m gonna go document info then Iamp;#39;m going to go field now look at what it asks me what do I want to insert into this field in o

How to insert a Word field using the interface Position the cursor where you want to insert the field, which can be in the document body, or the header or footer. Click the Insert tab and then click the Quick Parts dropdown in the Text group. From the dropdown, choose Fields (Figure A).
Click in your document where you want to insert the table of figures. On the Insert menu, click Index and Tables, and then click the Table of Figures tab. Click Options, and then select the Style check box. On the Style pop-up menu, click the style name that is used for the figure captions, and then click OK.
Place the mouse where you want to put the fill-in form field. Click the Developer tab, then select Design Mode. Then, click the Content Control buttons to insert content controls like drop-down menus or a date picker. Click the Design Mode button again when youre finished to activate the form.
Click the Developer tab and press Design Mode to enable it. With this mode on, you can add form controls to your document: rich text, plain text, combo box, date picker, check box, and legacy tools. When you finish formatting the form, press the Design Mode button again to exit it.
Place the cursor in the document where the Figure needs to be inserted. Please avoid figure insertion in between the paragraphs unless its an inline figure. All display figures should be placed top or bottom of the page. To insert a figure caption, right click on the figure and select Insert caption.
