The Office Deployment Tool (ODT) is a command-line tool that you can use to download and deploy Microsoft 365 Apps to your client computers.
Download the Office Deployment Tool from the Microsoft Download Center. After downloading the file, run the self-extracting executable file, which contains the Office Deployment Tool executable (setup.exe) and a sample configuration file (configuration. xml).
3. Run the Office Deployment Tool in Download Mode Open Command Prompt as Administrator. Click the file you want to open, and then click Open.
An ODT file is an OpenDocument text document file. Open one with Word, OpenOffice Writer, Word Online, or Google Docs. Convert to a similar format like PDF or DOCX with one of those programs or a dedicated converter like FileZigZag.
