Hold the Fn key while pressing a function key to get it to work. If your keyboard has an F Lock key, press it to enable your function keys.
On Mac OS X the Insert key is called the Help key. In other words, if you plug a regular PC keyboard into a Mac and hit the Insert key, it is the same as hitting the Help key on an older Mac keyboard.
Hold the Fn key while pressing a function key to get it to work. If your keyboard has an F Lock key, press it to enable your function keys. If your function keys dont work no matter what you try, you may need to enable them in your BIOS/UEFI.
The correct answer is the save as. Using the F12 key in MS Word, Save as dialogue box opens​.
It is at the top of the keyboard, typically right of the F11 key. In general, F12 serves as a shortcut to open developer tools in most web browsers. Additionally, F12 can be used for other purposes in different applications, like opening the Save As dialog box in Microsoft Office programs.

The F12 key is a function key found at the top of almost all computer keyboards. The key opens Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools, or other browser debug tools. As mentioned below, F12 also has other uses depending on the computer and program.
To disable FN Lock, press the FN key, and the Caps Lock key at the same time again.
