hey you guys itamp;#39;s nathan back with another video today iamp;#39;m walking through the process of how i got my tax id ein from the irs this process took me just about 15 minutes as soon as i got to the right page and started putting in my information i was able to use my ein number that tax id number that day to open a business account so um the other thing was that it was done completely for free i didnamp;#39;t have to pay for anything or any upfront cost with it i was able to print off my documents right away and i have them with me here so this is just my walkthrough of how i did it this is not a professional financial advice or tax professional information this is just me showing you my process so maybe it can help you but i would encourage you to look at talking to a professional or looking at videos from people who have done it and are certified to teach this to others but i just want to show you this for you know educational purposes but not like professional advice al

Use your EIN on all of the items that you send to the IRS and the Social Security Administration (SSA). Caution: An EIN is for use in connection with your business activities only. Do not use your EIN in place of your social security number (SSN).
A. Generally, you will receive your EIN immediately when applying online. When paper or faxed Forms SS-4 are submitted with missing information it will delay the issuance of your Employer Identification Number.
EINs are commonly used by employers for the purpose of reporting taxes. The number is made up of nine digits and is formatted as XX-X. Businesses can apply for EINs directly through the IRS, which usually issues them immediately.
This EIN is your permanent number and can be used immediately for most of your business needs, including: Opening a bank account. Applying for business licenses. Filing a tax return by mail.
Regardless of whether the EIN is ever used to file Federal tax returns, the EIN is never reused or reassigned to another business entity. The EIN will still belong to the business entity and can be used at a later date, should the need arise.
An LLC applies for an EIN by filing Form SS-4, Application for Employer Identification Number. See Form SS-4 for information on applying for an EIN. A single-member LLC that is a disregarded entity that does not have employees and does not have an excise tax liability does not need an EIN.
You can think of an EIN as a Social Security number for your business. Be careful to never give out your EIN unless you need toin the wrong hands, it can be used for identity theft.
