Validity of a Memorandum of Understanding In an agreement MoU, theres no intention for either party to create an official relationship. In simple words, enforcement of the agreement isnt a must. These agreements arent contracts which is why they are not binding or legal.
Amendment: For example; the memorandum of understanding may be amended on the initiative of either party by submitting a proposed amendment in writing to the other party and agreement of that party to the amendment.

Balance is not that each party has the same number of bullet points but that what is expected of each in the future has a sense of balance for them. Agreements should be written in positive language.

Section 4. Effectivity This MOA shall take effect upon signing hereof of the representatives of both parties. This shall be effective for one (1) year from date of the signing of the said MOA, subject to subsequent renewal periods of one (1) year each time, upon the agreement of both parties.
The effective date is when your obligations outlined in the contract begin. In other words, contracts become enforceable on the effective date. This date cannot precede the execution date, meaning a contract cannot be in effect until after all parties sign it.
