How do I make a dot on a keyboard? If you mean the sort of mid-line dot or bullet used for bulleted lists (), you can enter it on Windows by holding the Alt key and typing +2022 on the numeric keypad.
Place your cursor between a chapter name and the page number in your table of contents. Press the Tab button, and the dots are auto-generated for you. Repeat these steps for each chapter in your table of contents.
DOT Logs are required anytime a driver works more than 14 hours or travels more than 150 miles away from their home branch. DOT Logs should be completed at the end of the day before closing out tablets as the tablet carries all of the pertinent information required for completing the log.
You can also create a table of contents manually, using dot leaders to organize the text and page numbers. Dot leaders are a row of dots that visually connect the chapter titles and section headings to their corresponding page numbers.
That option is built into the Docs table of contents. When you select Insert Table of contents, select the middle option and you will automatically have dot leaders after the section name and before the page number.
Follow these 5 steps for accuracy: Highlight the words you want to add a dot between. Go to the Insert tab and click on the Symbol button. In the dialog box, select the dot symbol. Once youve chosen, click Insert. Check the dot is between each word and make any necessary changes.
To add leader dots to your table of contents: Add the section name to a text box. Add a tab and then a number (i.e. the page number) after the section name. Highlight the text that you want to add leader dots to. Open Type Tabs in the menu.
