In most spreadsheet software like Excel or Google Sheets, the design and chart tools are located on specific tabs within the ribbon or menu bar. Look for hidden tabs by clicking the small arrows pointing left or right at the end of the tab bar. If the missing tabs are hidden, clicking these arrows will reveal them.
To add special formatting to the first row in a table, select Design Header Row. To add special formatting to the last row in a table, select Design Total Row. To alternate row or column colors and make tables easier to read, select Design Banded Rows or Design Banded Columns.
