app in macOS: Open the Shortcuts. Click on the + button in the top right corner to create a new shortcut. Give your shortcut a name (e.g. Insert Date ) and click Add Action . Search for Insert Text in the search bar and select the Insert Text action. In the Insert Text field, type CurrentDate() .
The clock is always shown in the menu bar. Click Clock Options, then choose how you want the date and time displayed. Below Date, click the Show date pop-up menu, then choose either Always, When Space Allows, or Never. You can also choose whether to have the day of the week shown in the menu bar.
Tip: If you want to show the date in the menu bar or change how the time is shown, open Control Center settings, go to Menu Bar Only on the right (you may need to scroll down), then click Clock Options.
On a Mac, you can manually insert a permanent timestamp in a cell with these keyboard shortcuts: Insert date: ⌘ + ; Insert time: ⌘ + Shift + ; Insert date and time: ⌘ + Option + Shift + ;
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Settings, click General in the sidebar, then click Date Time on the right. (You may need to scroll down.) Turn on Set time and date automatically, click Set, then enter a network time server for your region. Turn on Set time zone automatically using your current location.
Activate the Calendar Menu Bar Select the Calendar Menu Bar command. Activate the command by pressing Enter, double-clicking, or right clicking and selecting Activate Command from the pop-up menu. Your calendar overview will automatically be added to the menu bar.
Date and time Select the cells or table you want to format. In the Format sidebar, click the Cell tab, then click the Data Format pop-up menu and choose Date Time. Click the Date pop-up menu, then choose a format.
