1. How to insert todays date Place your cursor in the location where you want to insert the date. Select the Insert tab from the top banner. Navigate to the Text group. Click Date Time. Choose the desired format of the date from the menu that appears. Press OK to finalize these changes.
Answer: On the Office ribbon, select the Insert tab. Under the Text group, click Quick Parts, Field. Under the Categories box, click Date and Time. In the Field names box, select CreateDate, PrintDate, or SaveDate. Select the date and time format that you want in the Date formats box. Click OK when ready.
