so a quick word about me um Iamp;#39;ve been doing this for a long time I had 15 years experience initially as a technical writer and journalist and then nine years experience actually managing a documentation team so you know Iamp;#39;ve Come From The Trenches I uh I have suffered the pain of um doing this kind of work um number uh many of the documents that Iamp;#39;ve produced have won awards um and uh Iamp;#39;ve been a longtime member of the stdc and Iamp;#39;m also an independent member of The Oasis data technical committee so what is the problem that did it in print saltes well itamp;#39;s one that has been uh plaguing really in my opinion the acceptance of daa uh ever since daa was announced became broadly available um itamp;#39;s a real barrier to adoption um the problem is that people still want to have conventional uh what I call Print output PDF or or word uh and want it to look like um what their documents currently look like and um doing that um has been and still
