TOML File Format Comments start with the # character and continue until the end of the line. Key-value pairs are represented as key = value and are separated by a new line. Keys can be nested using square brackets to create a hierarchy of sections, like [section1.
HTML Tag The comment tag is used to insert comments in the source code. Comments are not displayed in the browsers. You can use comments to explain your code, which can help you when you edit the source code at a later date. This is especially useful if you have a lot of code.
Comments in YAML are denoted by the # symbol and are ignored by the interpreter when the code is executed. We add the symbol at the position we want the comment to start. If you add this symbol in front of code characters, the interpreter will treat that code after the symbol and in that line as comments.
The multiline comment starts with /* and ends with */ . The other * s at the beginning of each other line are not required. They are just for a consistent visual style.
Alternatively, you can also use the following key combination: Select the code block that you want to comment-out. Press the Ctrl key and the Shift key and the C key at the same time. This will comment-out the selected code block.
In Karel, a single line comment is written using two backslashes such as // . A single line comment starts and ends at the same line. Single-line comments allow programmers tp provide description about code only one line at a time.
The start of a multi-line comment uses /* , each line following with a single * , and ending the multi-line comment with */ . Use single line comments to leave a comment for a single line in your code.
