To capture someones attention in an email or meeting invite, type the @ symbol followed by their name within the message or invite.
To tag someone in your post, start typing their name and then select their profile from the dropdown menu that appears (make sure to capitalize the first letter of their name). To tag a Page, type the @ symbol and then start typing the Pages name.
Type @ and the first few letters of the persons first or last name, and then pick the name you want (If they dont already have permission to open the document, youll be asked to provide that).
Press Ctrl + Alt + M. Right-click any text and select New comment in the context menu.
Try saying some of these phrases to yourself: This comment is their problem, not mine. I value people who are friendly and kind. I would never be unkind enough to say something like that to someone. I am OK I dont need to judge myself based on this persons unkind comment. There is more to me than how I look.
Try it! Add a comment. Type your comment. Use an @mention to name specific people in your comment. Select Post comment. The recipient will receive an email notification. They can reply to the comment right from the email or select the link to go directly to the comment.
Add a comment Select the text, image, table, etc. you want to comment on, and then do one of the following: On the Review tab, select New Comment. Right-click (or long-press) and select New Comment. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + M. Select the Post comment button or Ctrl + Enter.
If youre not able to tag someone, they may have changed who can tag them in their privacy settings.
