The remark will consume the sequence number where it is specified and will remain in proper order if the list is resequenced. The remark ability provides a way of tracking notes inside the given ACL but they do not affect the behavior of the ACL. Add a comment for the MAC ACL or MAC ACL rule specified.
setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL) to regular files and directories. It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path. If path was not specified, then file and directory names are read from standard input (stdin).
Inserting a remark for an ACE that already exists in an ACL Delete the ACE. Configure the remark with the number you want assigned to the pair. Re-Enter the deleted ACE with the number used to enter the remark.
To completely remove an entire ACL, first remove it from the interface by using the no ip access-group access-list-number command on the specific interface and then use the global configuration no access-list access-list-number command to delete the entire ACL.
Removing a remark from an existing ACE Use the Named ACL context to enter the ACL. Using show run or show access-list list-name config , note the sequence number and content of the ACE having a remark you want to remove. Delete the ACE. Using the same sequence number, re-enter the ACE.
How to Delete ACL Entries From a File Delete ACL entries from a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -d acl-entry-list filename -d. Deletes the specified ACL entries. acl-entry-list. To verify that the ACL entries were deleted from the file, by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
A script is a series of ACL commands stored as a unit in an ACL project. This series of commands can be executed repeatedly and automatically. Any ACL command can be stored in a script. Each time you run a command from the menu bar or button bar, the command syntax and results of the command are written to the log.
