Captions can be listed at the beginning of a paper or report in a List of Tables or a List of Figures section by using the \listoftables or \listoffigures commands, respectively. The caption used for each figure will appear in these lists, along with the figure numbers, and page numbers that they appear on.
Caption. It is usually beneficial to include caption to your images. To do so, simply use the command \caption{text} either below or above your figure (usually below for images and above for tables).

Add the \caption macro before or after the tabular environment to place the caption above or below the table. To reference the table in the text, use \label .
