You need a scanner to do this. Write your signature on a piece of paper. Scan the page and save it on your computer in a common file format: .BMP, .GIF, .JPG, or .PNG. On the Insert tab, select Pictures Picture from File. Browse to the picture you want to insert, select it, and then select Insert.
To digitize your handwritten signature, sign your name on paper with a dark pen, then scan it using a scanner or take a photo with your smartphone. Save the image as a JPG or PNG file and use a photo editor to clean it up if needed.
How to Electronically Capture Your Signature Sign a blank sheet of copy paper. Use the copier in your department to scan the page. Make sure you set the file type to JPG.
