Final Draft supports JPG, PNG and GIF graphics on script pages, title pages and the Beat Board. Images may be dragged from a folder on the hard drive directly to the page or a Beat, or may be inserted via menu and mouse commands.
In your Word, PowerPoint, or Excel file, click File Info Protect (Document, Presentation, or Workbook) Mark as Final.
Open Final Draft; Go to File Open; Navigate to where the file was saved; (Windows only) -- change Files of Type to All; Double-click the file to open it; When prompted, import it as a Script (or Screenplay). Drag your PDF file into the docHub Reader app, where you can view the text. Select File, Save as Other and then Text from the drop-down menu. Drag this new text file into Final Draft. Click on the Script button when Final Draft asks you to identify the document as Text or Script.
A file with the FDX or FDR file extension is a document used by the screenwriting software Final Draft to store scripts for TV episodes, movies, and plays. FDR is the file extension used in Final Draft versions 5, 6, and 7. Documents in newer versions of the software are saved as FDX files.
A script written in another screenwriting program or a regular word processing program can be exported as a PDF (FD13 / 12 only) or a plain or rich text file (for FD11 and older), then imported into Final Draft. Final Draft will reformat the file as a feature screenplay.
Click Insert Object. If the Word document already exists, in the Insert Object dialog box, select Create from file. Click Browse to locate the Word document you want to insert. Select your Word document, and click OK.
