Okay, hereamp;#39;s a quick tutorial on how to insert dot leaders for your tabs. First, Iamp;#39;m gonna go to the Home Tab Paragraph Group and we hit that little arrow in the corner. Itamp;#39;s going to give me the paragraph dialog box. Now, this is Indents and Spacing and thatamp;#39;s not really what I need, so I go down to the bottom here, to the Tabs button, hit Tabs and then the Tab stop position. So this is which Tab stop am I trying to put the dots before? So itamp;#39;s my 6-inch tab stop. I want dots before this tab stop, so Iamp;#39;m going to highlight six inches and Iamp;#39;m not going to change my alignment because itamp;#39;s the way I want to. But hereamp;#39;s the leader section, so right now itamp;#39;s set for no leaders. Hereamp;#39;s dot leaders, hereamp;#39;s a dash leader and hereamp;#39;s an underline leader. You can use the dash and the dot quite similarly. This you could use, like if youamp;#39;re creating a test and you wanted to make a blank

Texting Is Its Own Language So the recipient is forced to guess your tone based on cues and punctuation is one of the main ways they do that. A period or full stop is used to mark the end of an idea, so in texting a period can be like slamming a door in someones face it implies that the conversation is closed.
Follow these writing tips to make your bullet points the best possible: Write in short phrases: Effective bullet points are short and to the point. Remove transition words: Bullet points dont need to be full sentences. Emphasize the first few words: For longer bullets, summarize the main point in the first few words. An ellipsis is a punctuation mark of three dots (. . .) that shows an omission of words, represents a pause, or suggests theres something left unsaid.
Weve agreed that putting a period after a one-word response in a text conveys something like abruptness, annoyance, negativity. These findings held true with positive (yeah or yup), neutral (maybe or alright) or negative (nope or nah) responses.
(Yes, simply including proper punctuation can carry a tone you perhaps dont mean to convey!) Its become conventional within text messages to not include a period at the end. So when you do include a period, it can come across as intentionally meaning to convey bluntness or even frustration.
