hi and welcome students in this video Ill be covering publisher 2016 and Im gonna show you how to create a watermark lets get started so youll see that I have a publication open right now called rocket drag racing and so I want to put a logo into the background of this page in this case its drag racing so its gonna be an image of a wheel that has a flame on it and so if I want that to be my background image okay I want to do that on whats called the master page and the master page can be accessed in publisher for adding things like watermarks which again are a semi-transparent image that appears in the background of your publications and so lots of companies put logos in the back here or if you have a draft copy of something and you want everyone to know its a draft you could put trap the word draft in a transparent image across the back of the master page so that it appears on all of the pages within your publication the way that we do that is we have to first access the mast

On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list. Then, customize the watermark by setting the font, layout, size, colors, and orientation. Select OK.

On the Page Layout tab, select Watermark Custom Watermark. Choose Picture Watermark and select a picture, or choose Text watermark and type your watermark text in the Text box. Click OK.
