How to publish date article

Kees van den Berg emailed us saying, Were often advised to update old articles. What to do with the publish date? Republish it on a new date? Or add a note that it has been updated? Now we do this all the time on Yoast.com, we go through our old content and we update as necessary. If we completely rewrite the article or if the majority of the article is new then we actually publish on a new date. If only a tiny portion of the article changes, then we add a note to the article that weve updated it and we keep the old date. Its that simple so a bit of both. Good luck.

Issue date may refer to: Cover date, the date displayed on the covers of periodical publications. Effective date, the date upon which something is considered to take effect.
A date of publication is a date associated with the publication, release, or issuing of a document. The date of publication is the year in which the edition, revision, etc., described in the edition area was published.
But what does date of publication mean? ing to HEFCE the Date of Publication of a journal article is the earliest date that the final version-of-record is made available on the publishers website.
For a book, the date (usually just the year of publication) will be listed on the title page or at the copyright statement on the reverse of the title page. For a journal, in addition to the year there may also be the month, or a season (e.g. Spring, Summer, etc) related to a specific issue within the year.
Defining publication date But what does date of publication mean? ing to HEFCE the Date of Publication of a journal article is the earliest date that the final version-of-record is made available on the publishers website.
The publication date may be a single year (2013), a distinct month (October 2010), specific publication cycle (Fall 2007), or an exact date (June 28, 2005).
If a book has been reprinted, might simply means a new copy has been produced - the information in the book may not have changed (although the formatting may have changed slightly). Therefore the information in the book still has the same date of publication.
If youre looking at a single page within a website, the publication or last updated date may be near the page title (toward the top of the page) or at the very bottom of the page. It will usually include a day, month and year. (When you cite a web article or specific web page, this is the date youll need.)
