The Kirkpatrick model of evaluation, created by Donald Kirkpatrick in the 1950s, is a widely recognized framework for assessing training programs. It consists of four levels of evaluation: 1) Reaction, which assesses how participants feel about the training; 2) Learning, which measures the knowledge or skills gained; 3) Behavior, which evaluates how participants apply what they've learned in their work; and 4) Results, which examines the impact of the training on organizational outcomes. As one moves down the levels, the evaluations become more complex but also provide greater value in understanding the effectiveness of training programs.
