With our lovely new Lock Screens in iOS 16, Notifications now appear from the bottom and they can appear in different ways. In fact we can fine-tune that to make it look exactly as we like - and heres how you do that. Im going to go straight into the Settings app and from here Im going to choose Notifications. Now on this page there are three new options at the top of your screen and these are how notifications are displayed on your Lock Screen. Heres a quick look at how these work in practice, thanks to some test emails Im going to send myself! List is how they were displayed prior to iOS 16. Thats where you have all the notifications one after the other and you can scroll down and see them all. But the new default in iOS 16 is called Stack. and Stack is where only the most recent notification shows up and the rest are kind of hidden behind it slightly. Open the Activities overview and start typing Settings. Click on Settings. Click on Notifications in the sidebar to open the panel. Switch Do Not Disturb to off.
This can be done by: Open Event Viewer. Expand Applications and Services Logs. Drill down to the app or service you are interested in, e.g. for Windows Defender you might go to: Microsoft - Windows - Windows Defender - Operational log. Review the log and look for the notification you were interested in.
Sending notifications from the Linux terminal To send notifications from the Linux terminal, use the notify-send command. Its often already installed as a part of your desktop, but you can run which notify-send to confirm. If its not installed yet, it with your package manager of choice.

Rearrange Quick Actions Click the Action Center icon. Choose All settings. Click System. Choose Notifications actions. Quick action and notification settings appear. Click and drag an action to rearrange it under Quick actions.
Click on gear button to open the configuration dialog for the new installed extension: 5. Finally, in the pop-up dialog, switch to Customize tab and select another value for OSD position to change the notification bubbles position.
