To lock a PDF, open the configuration page, flip open the metadata section, and check the checkbox "Lock PDF." Save the configuration, generate a PDF, open it inside Acrobat, and Acrobat will recognize it as a locked PDF. The permissions include requiring a password for editing, disallowing copying of content, and encrypting the setup.
