hello everyone welcome back in todays video I want to talk about how you can create your territories on the Geo point map so lets go ahead and get started lets go ahead and click here on the little plus button and lets do geo shape library so lets say you want to create your territories by zip code you can click your zip codes and can just draw out a shape or you can you know click here the the toggle option and just you know add them manually now another way you can do it is by clicking here on the from text tab you just paste your zip codes in here and add theyll add them for you so lets say that youre working with the next cell dock now you can do that very easily just copy everything and click Add and it adds them for you and then for me you could just give it a save looks like we need a name of course test and and were good to go just like that weve created a you know our territory all right that is all for now thank you for watching have a great day

Standard US ZIP codes The standard ZIP code notation used by the United States Postal service uses five digits to identify a delivery area. An example of a standard US ZIP code is 90210.
Include leading characters in postal codes Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format. On the Home tab, click the Dialog Box Launcher. In the Category box, click Custom. In the Type list, type *0 followed by the postal code format that you want to use.
The correct format for a numeric ZIP+4 code is five digits, a hyphen, and four digits. The first five digits represent the 5-digit ZIP Code; the sixth and seventh digits (the first two after the hyphen) identify an area known as a sector; the eighth and ninth digits identify a smaller area known as a segment.
If prompted for your ZIP code, just enter the three digits of your postal code plus two zeros. So for example, if your postal code is A2B 3C4, the 5-digit number you should enter is 23400.
While less common, U.S. zip codes occasionally come in a nine-digit form called Zip+4.Shorten to Five Digits Insert a new column to the right of your current zip code column. Type or copy and paste =LEFT(C2,5) , replacing C2 with your cells identifier. Drag the formula down the rest of your column.
