1 Correct answer. Photoshop for some reason sometimes does not like the formatting of the text in the clipboard. Paste the copy into Text Edit or something similar and convert it to Plain Text.
To copy and paste, you can use keyboard shortcuts: PC: Ctrl + C for Copy, Ctrl + X for Cut and Ctrl + V for Paste.
If the layer is locked, paste options will be grayed out. If you have text in the clipboard you can only paste this in text boxes. In your case you selected a vector layer that you cant paste into. The Paste Special command will Paste whatever is in your clipboard (has been copied) into a selection.
Type Tool Select the Horizontal Type Tool ( ) from the Tools Palette. Click and drag to create a text frame. Use the Tool Options Palette or Character Palette to select your desired font and font size. Type your text. Select the Move Tool to deactivate the Type Tool move your text box to desired location on document.
Press Command+C (on macOS) or Control+C (on Windows) to copy the selected text. Open the Photoshop document (PSD) in which you want to paste the copied text and then select the Type tool in the toolbar. Select the type layer from the Layers panel in which you want to paste the text.
In the Edit workspace, use a selection tool to select the area you want to copy. Do one of the following: Choose Edit Copy to copy the selection to the clipboard. Choose Edit Copy Merged to copy all layers in the selected area to the clipboard.
Mostly, websites using javascript can block the mouse-clicking, disallow visitors to copy some or all of the text displayed on a webpage to the clipboard. If you turn off JavaScript temporarily on the site, you will be able to copy any text that appears on it.
First select the text layer in the layers palette. Then Ctrl-A to select all. Ctrl-C to copy. A roundabout way to accomplish this is to save the file as a pdf, then copy the text from there.
