hi this is Mike and Im gonna talk about how to assign a keyboard shortcut in Microsoft Word to a special version of the paste command I have text on my clipboard right now that is formatted if I just press the normal control V shortcut key Ill get all of that text formatted but I want the plain text version of it theres an option in the ribbon under paste to do this its called keep text only but I want to be able to do it using a keyboard shortcut because they do it all the time so heres how you do it in the file menu choose options and then choose customize ribbon at the very bottom of this section choose keyboard shortcuts customize okay then here Im just gonna search for the command I want at the very bottom theres an option called all commands and the one Im looking for is called paste text only once Ive selected that command in this press new shortcut key box you literally press the shortcut key that you want to use in my case its gonna be ctrl shift V ctrl V is the nor
