Import CSV from the Data tab Find the Data tab in the Excel ribbon. Then find the Get Transform Data group and click on the From Text / CSV button. Then select the CSV file that you want to import.
Data in CSV have comma as a column separator, and every row is in the new line. (1) Select all data in the file (use keyboard shortcut CTRL + A), (2) right-click the selected text, and (3) choose Copy.

The steps to import a TXT or CSV file into Excel are similar for Excel 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016: Open the Excel spreadsheet where you want to save the data and click the Data tab. In the Get External Data group, click From Text. Select the TXT or CSV file you want to convert and click Import.
If a value in the CSV file contains a double quote, the whole value must be wrapped in double quotes , and a double quote must be prepended to each double quote in the value. Note: Excel does this automatically when saving as CSV.
Click the cell where you want to put the data from the text file. On the Data tab, in the Get Transform Data group, click From Text/CSV. In the Import Data dialog box, locate and double-click the text file that you want to import, and click Import.
CSV files use double-quote marks to delimit field values that have spaces, so a value like Santa Claus gets saved as Santa Claus to preserve the space.
Opening a CSV File in Excel Open Excel. Click New, then click on Blank workbook. Click on the Data tab. Click Get External Data From Text. Navigate to the CSV-formatted file saved on your system, select it, then click Import (When browsing to find the file, set browser to look for All Files or for Text Files)
