Move cells by using Cut and Paste Select Home Cut or press Ctrl + X. Select a cell where you want to move the data. Select Home Paste or press Ctrl + V.
Copy cells by using Copy and Paste Select the cell or range of cells. Select Copy or press Ctrl + C. Select Paste or press Ctrl + V.
Open the workbook in which you want to paste the data, then select the + in the status bar to add a new blank worksheet. Select the first cell in the new worksheet, then press CTRL+V to paste the data into that worksheet.
To cut and paste cells: The cell content will remain in its original location until the cells are pasted. Select the cell or cells where you want to paste the cells. Press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac) on your keyboard to paste the cells.
Click the first cell in the area where you want to paste what you copied. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Paste, and then select Paste Special. Select the options you want.
Select the cell with the desired format and press Ctrl+C to copy its content and formats. Select the entire column or row that you want to format by clicking on its heading. Right-click the selection, and then click Paste Special. In the Paste Special dialog box, click Formats, and then click OK.
