Copy unique or distinct values to another location Select the filtered values using the mouse or the above mentioned shortcuts. Press Ctrl + C to copy the selected values. Select the top-left cell in the destination range (it can be on the same or different sheet), and press Ctrl + V to paste the values.
Cause: The Copy area and the Paste area are not the same size and shape. Solution: Select the upper-left cell instead of the whole range before you paste. Click the cell where you want the upper-left cell of the copied data to appear. On the Home tab, click Paste.
To use options from the Paste Special box, select Home, select the clipboard icon (Paste), and select Paste Special. Keyboard Shortcut: Press Ctrl+Alt+V.
Pasting with Delimiter Excel Select the cells in Excel you want your data to appear in. Click the Paste button in the menu at the top. Select the column of data, open the Data tab, and click Text to Columns. Click Delimited and click Next. Check the Tab box if your data is tab-limited.
Select the cells that contain the data or other attributes that you want to copy. Click the first cell in the area where you want to paste what you copied. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Paste, and then select Paste Special. Select the options you want.
Move to where you want to paste and right-click the cell. In the right-click menu, select Paste Special, which should open a window which comprises of formulas, values, formats, validation, etc. Select Values and then click Ok.
Select a cell or a cell range. Select Home Cut or press Ctrl + X. Select a cell where you want to move the data. Select Home Paste or press Ctrl + V.
A special character like em dashes or section marks () Click or tap where you want to insert the special character. Go to Insert Symbol More Symbols. Go to Special Characters. Double-click the character that you want to insert. Select Close.
